Welcome to Vermont Vermiculture.  We are the leading supplier of red worms
and worm castings in Vermont, and operate the only licensed and permitted
vermicomposting facility in the state.  We ship red worms and worm castings
throughout the Continental U.S., and offer a 100% money-back live worm
guarantee.

Vermont Vermiculture started out in my basement as a homeschool project for
my sons in 2006
to teach them that waste is a verb, not a noun.  They quickly lost
interest but I was immediately hooked on these amazing creatures that can turn
a pile of smelly garbage into the best organic fertilizer o
n the planet.

Six years and two moves later we are still diverting food scraps (ours and many
others) from the landfill, but on a much larger scale.  Our worms have been to
Bonnaroo (twice), made a guest appearance on Live! with Kelly, are a happily
consuming garbage in compost heaps and indoor worm bins from Brooklyn to
Seattle.

I want to thank all my customers for their support over the past six years, and I
hope to earn your business as well.

Thank you for stopping by.

Welcome Green Mountain Compost!

Our friends at Green Mountain Compost threw a big party last month to celebrate
spring and unveil their
new state of the art composting facility in Williston, which
uses half the energy, space and time as the old facility.  We were on a road trip back
from Florida so we missed the CompostFest, but we heard it was great, with
workshops on raised bed gardens to our favorite, vermicomposting.  And you can be
sure that no one was foolish enough to throw their leftovers into the garbage!

Green Mountain Compost is the largest outdoor composting facility in Vermont,
diverting thousands of tons of organic materials and leaves from the landfill every
year.  Not only are they great people to work with, but their products are "local,
sustainable, and wicked good!"
